I was 4 years old when Dad brought home a brand new 1958 Impala Sport Coupe with a 283 and a Power Glide transmission. This is how I started my love of this iconic car. Thank you all for posting photos of your amazing time capsules. I am truly envious. Dad gifted the black Impala to me on my 16th birthday. I went off to college and it sat in the driveway until he sold it for $50. The frame had rusted through on the drivers sidd so it was a bigger project than the family could undertake.
